    The Director of School Education in Hyderabad announced on Tuesday that 20 new Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBVs) will be established across Telangana. Currently, there are 475 KGBVs in the state, with 84 of them established in 2017-18 after Telangana’s formation and mandal reorganization.

    The Director of School Education had previously requested the establishment of 20 additional KGBVs across the state. After careful consideration, the State government has approved this request. Each KGBV will receive around Rs 60 lakh in funding, with Rs 36 lakh coming from the Central government and Rs 24 lakh from the State government.
