Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police arrested an interstate OLX fraudster at Erramanzil on Monday. They seized two cell phones and three SIM cards from him.
The accused, identified as Marisarla Balaji Naidu, also known as Balaji, is 35 years old and comes from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. During questioning, Balaji admitted to cheating around 200 people who used OLX to sell their second-hand mobiles.
Balaji confessed to scamming individuals for a total amount between Rs 50 and 60 lakh. He has a history of similar frauds and has previously been arrested by police in Bengaluru, Vijayawada, and Tirupati.
