Hyderabad: Police Catch Five Drug Dealers and Seize 803 kg of Ganja
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) in collaboration with the Cyberabad Special Operations Team Balanagar and Shamshabad police, have successfully disrupted an interstate drug trafficking operation. They arrested five individuals from Odisha and Karnataka.
The authorities seized 803 kg of dry ganja, chemical drums, and a car. The total value of these seized items is estimated to be Rs 2.94 crore.
The arrested individuals are Somanatha Khara (34), Sunil Khosla (28), and Jaga Suna (26) from Odisha, as well as Harade Sanjeev Vittal Reddy (25) and Sanjeev Kumar Hollappa Okare (48) from Karnataka. The main supplier, Ramu, and the main peddler, Suresh Maruthi Patil, are currently on the run.
According to the police, the arrested men were transporting ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra via Telangana. They were caught near the Pedda Golconda ORR Junction by the SOT Cyberabad, Balanagar team, and Shamshabad police.
The police have valued the 803 kg of dry ganja at Rs 2.81 crore, with each kilogram priced at Rs 35,000.
