The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone team, caught a man for selling fake engine oil. The police seized 534 litres of duplicate hydraulic engine oil from him.
The police raided a shop named G S Sons Petro Products Sales in Afzalgunj. There, they found that Waseem Khan, a 31-year-old man, was selling fake engine oil using the brand name ‘HP’.
He was caught while filling plastic tins with fake oil and putting fake HP ENKLO’46 stickers on them. He was selling this duplicate oil as if it were the original product to make illegal profits.
The police seized 13 tins of 26 litres each and 14 tins of 14 litres each, all labeled with the HP brand. The total value of the seized oil was Rs 45,000.
According to Task Force DCP YVS Sudheendra, Waseem Khan started selling fake engine oil because he was not earning enough money. He wanted to make easy profits, so he engaged in this illegal activity.
