In Khammam, the police are cracking down on illegal cattle trafficking. Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt directed Additional DCP Prasada Rao to inspect check posts on Wednesday. These check posts are located at Paladugu, Konijarla Mandal Bhaswapuram Cross Road, and Hanuman Thanda in Kalluru Mandal under the Bonakallu Police Station. Rao advised officers to stay alert and continuously monitor these locations. He emphasized the importance of checking every vehicle transporting cattle for compliance with regulations.

Rao instructed that only police should stop vehicles for such inspections. If anyone suspects illegal trafficking, they must inform the police immediately.

Surprise checks will also be carried out in various parts of the district, not just at border posts. If caught smuggling cattle, offenders will have their vehicles confiscated.
