The Jagityala Velama Welfare Association has filed a police complaint against MLA Veerlapalli Shankar. They alleged that the MLA used vulgar language to insult the Velama community. The incident reportedly occurred on Friday.

Members of the association raised slogans against the MLA at the Jagityala Padmanayaka Kalyanam Mandapam. Following this, they organized a rally to the Jagityala Town police station, where they formally submitted their complaint. They demanded strict action against the legislator.

The protesters expressed their disappointment, stating that an elected official in a position of responsibility should not speak in such a manner. They called on the state government to take appropriate steps. Several members of the community’s executive committee participated in the protest.
