In Khammam, the police stepped in to help families affected by floods on Wednesday. Trainee police constables carried out relief operations for those impacted by the Munneru floods in Khammam city.
A total of 525 trainee constables, along with 125 regular police officers and other officials, worked tirelessly day and night. They focused on sanitation efforts and clearing debris as the floodwaters started to go down. Roads covered in mud were being cleaned with the help of water tankers.
Additionally, the police were working quickly to restore the area by removing broken electricity poles from the roads. Fire department rescue teams also joined in the cleaning efforts. The Commissioner of Police, Sunil Dutt, oversaw the cleaning and restoration activities.
