The Director General of Police of Telangana, Anjani Kumar, has asked police officials to be vigilant in keeping peace and security as the state’s assembly elections approach. He made these orders during a meeting with CPs and SPs who participated in the unveiling of the 125-feet statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in Hyderabad. Kumar said that police officers should be reoriented to build a new society in the spirit of Dr BR Ambedkar.

During the DGP office Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, Kumar paid tribute to Ambedkar’s portrait and stated that the police force should work with new strategies to tackle new challenges. He also asked officials to hold meaningful and productive programs like the village visit and community outreach program held in February.
