The Telangana state police have requested the custody of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in connection with the leak of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam papers. The leader, identified as Raghunandan Rao, was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police on 13th May 2021, and was subsequently released on bail. However, after the Telangana police found evidence that Rao was involved in the paper leak, they have requested his custody for further interrogation.
The SSC exam paper leak case has been making headlines in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the past few weeks. The papers were leaked on social media platforms just a few hours before the exams were scheduled to begin.
