Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force and Bowenpally Police caught two individuals with 1,770 grams of hash oil worth Rs 8.95 lakh.
The arrested individuals are Sahoo Sonu, a 31-year-old fruit seller from Old Bowenpally, and Bandari Ravi Teja, a 20-year-old delivery boy from LB Nagar. Both have prior cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Sahoo Sonu, Bandari Ravi Teja, and a third person, Giri, who is currently missing, are all from Bowenpally. They all know each other and are addicted to narcotics like ganja and hash oil. Giri previously sourced ganja from Andhra Pradesh and sold it around Hyderabad.
Ande Srinivasa Rao, the Additional DCP Task Force, stated that all three were arrested earlier under the NDPS Act but continued their drug activities. Unable to afford hash oil, Sahoo and Ravi decided to buy in bulk for resale and personal use. They contacted Giri, who sourced the hash oil from another associate, Rajesh from Andhra Pradesh, who is also on the run. Sahoo and Ravi then sold the hash oil in small amounts.
The police apprehended them at Gate-II, ICRISAT Phase-2, Krishna Nagar, Old Bowenpally, where they were waiting to sell the drugs.
