Hyderabad: Famous Tollywood choreographer Jani Master is facing serious accusations of sexual assault. A police case has been filed by the Narsingi Police after a young woman came forward with her complaint. She claims that Jani Master assaulted her during a trip to Mumbai in 2019.
The woman said she joined Jani Master’s team as an assistant choreographer in 2019. She was allegedly forced to travel to Mumbai for a show. During this trip, she accuses Jani Master of sexually assaulting her at a hotel. She also claims that he threatened her not to speak about the incident. Additionally, she said he behaved inappropriately during later shooting sessions and pressured her to convert to his religion and marry him.
As the investigation continues, police shared more details. According to them, Jani Master allegedly pulled the woman’s hair when she refused his advances. On August 28, the woman also received a mysterious parcel at her home. Inside, there was a note that read, “Congratulations for son be careful,” which has been included in the police report.
Jani Master has reportedly been avoiding contact, turning off his phone and making himself unreachable. The Narsingi Police have sped up the investigation and sent notices to Jani Master, asking him to come in for questioning. In the meantime, he has been removed from his role as the president of the Choreographers Association.
