Former Congress Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah had a meeting with BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister spoke with the Ponnala couple and asked about their well-being. BRS Parliamentary Party Leader MP Kesha Rao, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and other party leaders were also present. The day before, BRS working president KT Rama Rao visited Lakshmaiah’s house to invite him to join the party.
Sources say that Rama Rao convinced Lakshmaiah to join the BRS after he resigned from the Congress party. Lakshmaiah resigned after finding out that he would not receive a party ticket. He will officially join the BRS during a public meeting in Jangaon on Monday.
