Ponnam hands out sewing machines to women trained by NAC

Karimnagar: State Transport and BC Welfare Minister Poonam Prabhakar distributed certificates and sewing machines to women who completed training provided by the National Academy of Construction (NAC). The event took place at Koheda Gram Panchayat in Karimnagar on Saturday.

A total of 30 women, who underwent 90 days of training, received sewing machines and certificates. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the State Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and NAC.

During the event, Minister Poonam Prabhakar encouraged youth to acquire skills that can help them become self-reliant in the future. He highlighted the government’s plan to establish a Skills University aimed at equipping students with skills relevant to modern trends and courses.

The minister also praised NAC for its long-standing efforts in offering training programs to families of the working class, helping them build better livelihoods.
