Manne Krishank, the chairman of Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation, organized a program called ‘Basti Nidra’ and a postcard campaign in Lohiya Nagar, Secunderabad Cantonment Board. The program was held on Sunday and around 400 locals participated in it.
The residents discussed the issue of 35,000 votes being deleted from the list for the Secunderabad Cantonment board polls. Earlier, they had submitted representations to the officials of the SCB and Defence Ministry to restore their voting rights during the election campaign.
During the interaction, the locals highlighted various problems they faced such as irregular drinking water supply and overflowing sewage.
