On December 21, the President inaugurated several projects at Rashtrapati Nilayam. These included a 120-feet flag post, replicating the historic flag post erected in 1867. Rashtrapati Nilayam spans 90 acres and features beautiful gardens, waterfalls, and nutrition gardens. The building itself has 20 rooms, including a dining hall and a movie theater.

Since 1955, every President has visited Hyderabad for a one-week southern trip each year. In March of this year, Rashtrapati Nilayam was opened to the public.
