Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Tirumala for special prayers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tirumala to offer special prayers to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. He arrived at the main entrance of the temple wearing a white dhoti and a tilak on his forehead. Upon his arrival, he was received by TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, executive officer AV Dharma Reddy, and other officials. The temple priests welcomed him with traditional rituals and recitation of vedic hymns.

Modi spent about 10 minutes inside the sanctum sanctorum, where he offered special prayers for the well-being and prosperity of all Indians. He was also presented with the silk robes of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Ranganayakula Mandapam. The temple officials gifted him a portrait of the deity, prasadam, calendars, and diaries of TTD for the year 2024.

After his visit, Modi left for Renigunta airport and headed to Hyderabad for his election campaign.
