In Gadwal, an event was held in Paramala village to teach farmers about their legal rights and government support. Organized by the District Legal Services Authority, the program aimed to inform farmers about important laws and benefits available to them.
The event focused on helping farmers understand crucial topics like agricultural laws, government welfare schemes, land rights, and Rythu Bima (farmer insurance). Legal experts explained how farmers can access these benefits and resolve any disputes legally. They also addressed common challenges farmers face and provided practical advice.
A question-and-answer session allowed farmers to directly interact with the legal experts. This ensured that the information shared was relevant to their everyday farming activities.
The organizers stressed the importance of protecting farmers’ rights through legal means. They highlighted that free legal aid is available for farmers with limited financial resources, accessible via the Legal Services Authority.
Authorities hope these initiatives will improve legal knowledge among rural farmers, helping them solve problems effectively through legal channels.
Prominent attendees included Sri V. Rajender, Sri B. Srinivasulu, Sri D. Lakshmana Swamy from the Legal Aid Defense Council, as well as Tirumalesh, the Panchayat Secretary, and the Agriculture Officer of Paramala Mandal. Local farmers and village representatives also participated, appreciating the effort to provide legal insights directly to their community.
