The District Collector of Wanaparthy, Tejas Nandalal Pawar, announced on Tuesday that 59 health centres and 38 village dispensary sub-centres are being built in the district. The construction work is currently underway at different stages. This was discussed during a video conference held by Medical and Health Minister T Harish Rao with district collectors to talk about the nutrition kit, village davakhana, and Kanti Velugu schemes. The minister urged the collectors to complete the construction of rural davakhanas and sub-centres quickly.
Dr Ravi Shankar, the District Medical Health Officer, AO Dr. Sainath, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Simha Reddy, MCH Superintendent Dr. Narendra Kumar, and Collectorate Superintendent Ramesh Reddy were also present at the conference.
