The Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, spoke at a child protection program in Hanumakonda. He explained that education is crucial for women facing challenges and that it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect child rights. Child marriage is harmful to society and is linked to a lack of education, healthcare, and empowerment. The Minister encouraged child protection committees to monitor and take action against violators. He also urged parents to send their children to state-run gurukul schools for quality education.

A member of the Telangana State Child Rights Commission, A Shobha Rani, discussed the programs they have in place to protect child rights, such as Bala Adalat. Other officials were present at the event, including the Hanumakonda district collector Sikta Patnaik and district welfare officers.
