Protest over land documents for Indiramma houses

Text Size: 100%

In Kodad town, people living in Lakshmipuram Colony held a protest. They want official ownership documents for their homes. These houses were built in 2007 under the Indiramma housing scheme when N Uttam Kumar Reddy was the Housing Minister during the Congress rule.

The residents are upset because they lack basic services. Without legal documents, development in the area has stopped, and no taxes are being collected. They have asked Uttam Kumar Reddy to help them get the documents soon.

Even after living there for over 17 years, the residents feel uncertain because the homes are not yet regularized.
