Former BJP MLA M. Raghunandan Rao met with the State DGP on Saturday to file a complaint against BRS party MLC Venkata Rami Reddy. He requested the DGP to arrest Venkat Rami Reddy based on allegations made by former DCP Radhakishan Rao regarding his involvement in a phone-tapping case and money transfers during the last assembly elections.
Rao questioned why no action had been taken against Venkat Rami Reddy yet and demanded answers from the DGP regarding who was protecting him. He also mentioned that Venkat Rami Reddy, who is related to Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, should be arrested or Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should address the issue.
Accusing the Chief Minister of protecting Venkat Rami Reddy due to their shared caste, Rao stated that he received a positive response from the DGP regarding his complaint.
