Railway Stations in Hyderabad Commence Sale of Millet-Based Products
Text Size: 100%

The Indian government has introduced a new initiative called “One station One Product” (OSOP) to promote local products. Millet, a type of grain, is now being sold at OSOP stalls in railway stations. This helps small businesses sell their millet-based products and provides nutritious food to people.

Currently, there are three stations in Hyderabad where OSOP stalls are located: Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Begumpet. Nine Nutz, M for Millets, and Ancient Foods are micro startups running the stalls. They sell sweets, snacks, chikkis, breakfast mixes, and more.

Railways are promoting the sale of millet-based products to increase demand both locally and globally. The Railway Board has advised zonal railways to sell these products on OSOP stalls. The Ministry of Agriculture has provided a list of startups that deal with millet-based products.
