The police in Hyderabad have reported that T Raja Singh, a suspended MLA from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been charged with delivering a hate speech at a rally in Mumbai. The speech was made at an event organised by the Hindu SakalSamaj between Shivaji Park and Labour Board office. The police official from Dadar police station stated that a case was registered four days ago after examining Singh’s speech. He has been charged under IPC section 153A(I)(a) for allegedly making provocative statements aimed at a community. The rally, known as a ‘morcha’, was held to discuss various issues faced by the Hindu community, particularly women.
