Hyderabad: A new digital conference hall was opened at Osmania University on Thursday. The hall, named the Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar Digital Conference Hall, is located at the Professor T Navaneeth Rao Central Facility for Research and Development (CFRD). The inauguration was led by Professor P Laxminarayana, Registrar of Osmania University.
Several important guests attended the event, including Dr. Ilyas UR Rahman, Principal of Shadan Institute of Management Studies, and Professor B Reddiya Naik, OSD to the Vice Chancellor. Deans, principals, directors, faculty members, and support staff were also present to witness the opening of this new facility.
The new conference hall is equipped with the latest digital technology. It will be used for conferences, seminars, and research activities, helping the university strengthen its role in academic research and innovation.
During his speech, Professor P Laxminarayana emphasized the importance of investing in modern infrastructure to support research and development. He also acknowledged the efforts of Shadan and Dr. V R K Educational Societies, who played a key role in making the project a reality.
Dr. Ilyas UR Rahman praised both his management and Osmania University for creating such an advanced digital auditorium. He noted that the new conference hall will be an important space for academic discussions and collaborations, benefiting not only Osmania University but also the larger academic community.
