Suryapet/Thungaturthi: On Saturday, the funeral of Ramreddy Damodar Reddy, a respected former minister, took place at his fields in the Thungaturthi constituency. Many ministers, lawmakers, and leaders from various parties, along with notable figures, attended to honor the late leader.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy and ministers like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Adluri Laxman Kumar were present. MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud and others offered floral tributes to Damodar Reddy. They comforted his son, Sarvottam Reddy, and family members. Damodar Reddy’s body was displayed at his farmhouse for the public to say their final goodbyes. Many admirers gathered to pay their last respects.
Finance Commission Chairman Siricilla Rajaiah, Tourism Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, and MP Raghuveer Reddy were among those who paid floral tributes. Several MLAs, including M Saame, Padmavathi Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, and others, also attended. MLC Shankar Naik joined them in paying homage. The cremation was conducted with state honors.
