The municipal election results for Rangareddy district have been declared, with candidates from BRS, INC, BJP, and Independent parties securing victories across six municipalities. The elections witnessed intense competition in Amangal, Chevella, Ibrahimpatnam, Shadnagar, Moinabad, and Shankarpally municipalities.
In Amangal municipality, which has 15 wards, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) emerged as the leading party with 8 seats, while BJP secured 6 wards and Congress (INC) won 1 ward. Notable winners include Jatavath Dholi from Ward 1, Talloju Geetha from Ward 3, and Koguru Anitha from Ward 10 representing Congress.
Chevella municipality, comprising 18 wards, witnessed a strong performance by the Indian National Congress, which won 11 seats. The BRS secured 4 wards, while BJP won 3 wards. Key winners include Dutha Mallesh from Ward 1, Bakka Reddy Madavi from Ward 4, and M Kalyani from Ward 18.
In Ibrahimpatnam municipality with 24 wards, BRS secured 11 seats, making it the dominant party in the region. INC won 9 wards, BJP captured 3 wards, and one Independent candidate, Dasari Murali Krishna, won from Ward 3. Winners include Muthyala Shamala, Kondru Praveen Kumar, and Guduru Girish.
Shadnagar municipality, the largest with 28 wards, saw Congress winning 15 seats, followed by BRS with 11 seats. BJP secured 1 ward, and 1 Independent candidate also won. Prominent winners include Mohammed Ghouse Jani, Bachala Narsimulu, Mariyam Begum, and Agganoor Vishala.
In Moinabad municipality with 26 wards (Ward 20 results pending), INC won 10 seats, BRS secured 7 seats, BJP won 4 wards, and 5 Independent candidates emerged victorious. Winners include Saduvu Srilatha, Billapati Kavitha, Mudigonda Prabhakar Yadav, and Shaik Wajeed.
Shankarpally municipality with 15 wards witnessed Congress winning 9 seats, BRS securing 4 wards, and 2 Independent candidates winning their respective wards. Key winners include Anand Rao Erra, Besolla Sandhya Rani, Peechari Akhila, and Chakali Ashok.
