In Ramannapet, a young man fell into the Musi River on Friday evening. He was saved by the SDRF and Fire Department on Saturday morning after a challenging night operation.

The man, Konukuntla Matsyagiri, from Lakshmapuram village, slipped and was swept about 300 meters by the river’s strong current. He managed to grab onto a tree and reach a small mud island.

During the rescue, an SDRF member accidentally fell into the river but was quickly saved by his team. Darkness and high floods stopped the rescue efforts at midnight. To comfort Matsyagiri, a tractor light was used. His family and villagers stayed on the bridge all night, hoping for his safety.
