People in the Old City of Hyderabad are upset as their drinking water has been dirty for over a month. Despite complaints, the Water Board has not addressed the issue.

Residents report that the water smells bad and contains particles. Mohammed Anwar from Doodh Bowli mentioned that even after informing the Water Board, the problem continues.

Mohammed Ahmed highlighted the issue on social media, sharing videos and photos of the polluted water. He pointed out that areas like Moghalpura, Alijah Kotla, Yakutpura, Shalibanda, Qazipura, Doodh Bowli, and Sultan Shahi are affected. He tagged the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) in his post.

Residents say the water problem has persisted for over a month. Azeem Ansari from Moghalpura noted that the water used to clear after a few minutes, but now it’s consistently bad.

The Water Board did respond on social media, stating that a complaint was filed and the section manager was informed. The manager promised to check the supply and act, yet no further action was taken.

Ahmed expressed his frustration at the inaction of the authorities, noting that despite multiple complaints, nothing has changed.

Anwar added that the persistent water issue is forcing residents to buy water cans. They are tired of repeatedly complaining to officials without any resolution.
