Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha on Sunday criticized the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stating that no other government in the State’s history had faced as much criticism within just eleven months of coming to power.

Kavitha made these remarks during a meeting with Backward Classes (BC) leaders at her residence. She also announced her plans to meet the dedicated BC Commission to submit a memorandum on behalf of Telangana Jagruthi. During the meeting, she targeted Jagtial MLA Sanjay for switching parties without resigning from his MLA post, asserting that such actions would not be forgiven by the people.

The BRS leader emphasized her connection with the people of Jagtial, recalling that while she was an MP, Sanjay had lost his election from the same constituency. Despite having a Congress MLA in Jagtial, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) prioritized the development of the region, she said.

Kavitha highlighted the formation of Jagtial district by KCR, stating that smaller districts were created to ensure better development. She added that the district received over 4,500 double-bedroom houses, second only to Hyderabad. She also pointed out that while some leaders left the party, the grassroots workers remained loyal to the BRS.

She went on to recall how the BRS had groomed Sanjay as a future MLA, taking him to every village and promoting him among the people. Despite facing resistance from the then MLA Jeevan Reddy, BRS activists stood firm and ensured the party’s flag continued to fly high in Jagtial.

Kavitha urged party leaders and workers to demonstrate their strength in the upcoming local body elections. She assured them of full support from the party and expressed confidence that the pink flag of the BRS would be raised in every village, regardless of the MLA’s decision to switch parties.
