Telangana CM Highlights Achievements and Challenges in First Year of Governance
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shared the progress his government has made in social transformation during its first year. However, he acknowledged that economic reforms will take more time to show results. Speaking at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat, he emphasized the important role government employees play in ensuring that welfare and development programs reach the people.
The Chief Minister assured government employees that their concerns would be addressed quickly. He also promised not to introduce any policies that would harm their interests.

Launch of TGOs Association's Diary and Calendar
Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers, unveiled the 2025 diary and calendar of the Telangana Gazetted Officers Association (TGOs). At the event, he extended New Year greetings to all government employees and spoke about the administration’s efforts to enhance efficiency in governance.

Financial Challenges Facing the State
The Chief Minister revealed that the state is facing significant financial difficulties, with a monthly revenue shortfall of ₹4,000 crore. Telangana requires ₹30,000 crore per month to operate smoothly but currently generates only ₹18,500 crore. Out of this revenue, ₹6,500 crore is spent on employee salaries and allowances, another ₹6,500 crore goes toward loan repayments, and ₹5,500 crore is allocated to welfare schemes.
Despite these financial constraints, the government has been ensuring that employee salaries are paid on time, on the first of every month. Revanth Reddy urged employees to support the government’s efforts to increase revenue and ensure that welfare programs benefit those who genuinely need them.

CM's Call for Dialogue Over Protests
The Chief Minister appealed to employees to address their issues through dialogue instead of resorting to protests or strikes. He noted that many such demonstrations are often politically motivated. The CM reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving grievances systematically and fairly.

Challenges in Regularizing Contract Employees
Revanth Reddy addressed the demand for regularizing outsourced and contract employees, particularly those under schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. He explained that legal and procedural restrictions make such regularization difficult. The CM stressed the importance of following regulations to avoid legal challenges in the future.

Several key leaders attended the event, including ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, advisor Vem Narender Reddy, TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, and MLAs Adluri Laxman Kumar and Naini Rajender. Representatives from various employee associations were also present.
The Telangana government reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively with employees while focusing on welfare and development initiatives for the people of the state.
