The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Secunderabad seized 60 kg of ganja worth Rs 15 lakh and arrested the accused. They conducted a surprise check on drug peddlers at Secunderabad railway station along with the Secunderabad Railway police.
During the check, they caught a male suspect who was carrying dry ganja from Gajapati, Odisha to Delhi through Secunderabad. The suspect intended to sell the ganja at a higher price in Delhi. The accused, Dilip Kumar Nayak, obtained 60 kg of dry ganja from Tapon in the Gajapati forest area on June 18. He then brought the ganja bags to Ichapuram railway station and transported them to Secunderabad on train no 17015 Visakha Express.
Upon arrival in Secunderabad, the police found the accused with one trolley suitcase and five backpack bags containing the ganja on platform no 2. The RPF official stated that the ganja was worth Rs 15 lakh and was intended for distribution in Delhi.
