Rangareddy is gearing up for local body elections. The district administration is busy finalizing electoral boundaries, but there isn’t much excitement yet. K Srinivas, the in-charge District Additional Collector, announced that the final list of MPTC and ZPTC seats will be published on September 10. This update came during a meeting with political party representatives at the District Collectorate in Kongarakalan.
The Additional Collector mentioned that the draft voter list is already out, following the State Election Commission‘s orders. He encouraged party representatives to report any issues or objections about the draft list and polling stations. Officials will address these concerns before releasing the final list.
Political parties are starting to choose candidates at the mandal level for the elections. Leaders are also trying to gain support from their party leadership. However, there have been only a few strategy meetings by major parties such as Congress, BRS, and BJP. Overall, there is a lack of strong election enthusiasm among party members in the district. The meeting included Zilla Parishad CEO Krishna Reddy, Deputy CEO Ranga Rao, and representatives from the Indian National Congress, BRS, BJP, CPI(M), CPI, and TDP.
