Hyderabad: The under-15 inter-district football championship saw the Rangareddy district boys team emerge victorious over Nizamabad in an exciting final. The match took place at the Rajaram Stadium in Nizamabad on Tuesday.
Both teams scored three goals each, leading to a nail-biting penalty shootout. Rangareddy clinched the win with a 4-2 score in the shootout.
Sai Chaitanya, the Nizamabad Commissioner of Police, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He handed out medals and the trophy to both the winners and the runner-ups.
Aziz Nomaan Pasha, who captained the Rangareddy team, guided his team to victory. The players showcased outstanding skills, impressing everyone with their talent. The team manager, Shiva, and coach, Sai, expressed their excitement over the win.
Four teams made it to the semi-finals: Rangareddy, Mahaboob Nagar, Wanaparthy, and Nizamabad. In the end, it was Rangareddy and Nizamabad who battled it out in the final, with Rangareddy coming out on top.
