Jagan addresses a massive corner meeting at Kothur Junction in Chodavaram, Anakapalli district.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with BRS party president K Chandrashekar Rao in Hyderabad on Thursday. The meeting has sparked speculation in political circles due to its timing before the Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and on the day Y S Sharmila joined the YSRCP.

During the 2019 elections, several BRS leaders had supported Jagan Mohan Reddy, which has led to curiosity about the meeting between the two Chief Ministers. They discussed the recent political developments, including the Congress party’s victory in Telangana and its efforts to strengthen their presence in Andhra Pradesh.

KCR informed Jagan that the BRS will not be active in Andhra Pradesh as the party suffered a setback in the recent elections and needs to focus on the Lok Sabha elections. Jagan explained the challenges he is facing in winning both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Jagan was warmly welcomed by BRS working president KT Rama Rao and others at KCR’s residence. He also visited his mother at his Lotus Pond residence for the first time in two years.

Some political analysts see the meeting as a sign of Jagan’s nervousness and speculate that he sought KCR’s help and guidance in navigating the changing political landscape in the state.
