The Salar Jung Museum and the Deccan Heritage Academy Trust celebrated International Museum Day with a big event on Sunday in Hyderabad. The event was organized by ICOMOS India South Zone, with support from JBR Architecture College, the Department of Design at IIT Hyderabad, TSAA, and Telangana Tourism.
During the event, Professor Deepak John Mathews talked about the future of museum education, emphasizing the importance of technology and showcasing projects from IIT Hyderabad. There were also exhibitions featuring winners of ‘Voice of Heritage,’ TSAA, and the Department of Design at IIT Hyderabad, inaugurated by special guests.
Professor J Gayatri from JBR Architecture College expressed support for heritage training programs and activities, pledging continued collaboration with ICOMOS India and the Deccan Heritage Academy Trust.
