    Gadwal: Sarithamma, who is a former ZP Chairperson and currently the Congress Party in-charge for the Gadwal constituency, has stressed the importance of quickly punishing criminals to effectively reduce crime. She believes that conversations about women’s safety should be just as common as discussions about Hyderabad. According to her, immediate punishment after a crime is essential to prevent future wrongdoings.

    Sarithamma also highlighted the growing influence of drugs as a major factor leading to violent crimes, including murders. She emphasized the need for women to feel safe in their workplaces. Referring to a recent incident involving a female doctor in Kolkata, Sarithamma said it shook the entire nation and demonstrated the need for everyone to take responsibility when such incidents occur, regardless of where or who is involved.

    She shared her plans to hold meetings with the Women’s Safety Wing to discuss and implement measures for better crime control. Additionally, Sarithamma expressed her desire to work on including information about legal rights and laws in school textbooks, aiming to raise awareness among children from a young age.
