The SCCL (Singareni Collieries Company Limited) authorities are taking steps to address complaints about some employees being marked present in the muster even when they are absent from work. The Chairman & Managing Director, N Balram, has instructed area General Managers and HODs to implement a biometric attendance system throughout the company. This is aimed at improving efficiency within the organization.
Balram has directed managers and HODs to upgrade the attendance mechanism and use biometric technology at various levels. The company is increasing vigilance to identify employees who falsely record their attendance or leave work after signing the muster. Strict action will be taken against those who do not adhere to company discipline guidelines. Field visits and inspections will also be increased to ensure work efficiency in different coal mines.
