With summer arriving early, the Telangana School Education Department has announced that schools will run for half days starting from March 15.

All government-aided and private schools, including primary, upper primary, and high schools, will operate from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. This schedule will be followed until April 23. After classes, students will receive a mid-day meal at 12:30 PM before heading home.

However, special classes for Class X students preparing for public exams will continue as usual. Schools that serve as SSC examination centers will function from 1 PM to 5 PM.

The half-day school schedule will be in effect until April 23, marking the end of the 2024-25 academic year. Officials from the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Education Department have been asked to ensure that all schools follow these instructions.
