In Bhupalapally, a disturbing event unfolded when a science teacher reportedly added pesticide to the drinking water at a government school, affecting 11 students who needed immediate medical attention.
This incident took place at the Gandhi Nagar Government Urban Residential School. On Saturday, MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, District Collector Rahul Sharma, and SP Kiran Khare visited the school to investigate and talk to the students.
Students shared that teacher Rajender, along with Venu, Surya Prakash, and cook Rajeshwari, often argued with the principal. Out of anger, Rajender allegedly put pesticide in the hostel’s water tank and sprinkled it on bed sheets to avoid detection.
After drinking the tainted water, students became seriously ill and were quickly taken to the local government hospital. Authorities ensured the students received excellent medical care.
As a result of the investigation, three teachers and cook Rajeshwari were suspended, and criminal charges were filed. Officials warned that similar offenses would lead to immediate dismissal from duty.
