    Hyderabad – In a creative push under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) organized a series of competitions across Telangana. Students took part in essay writing, drawing, and painting contests centered around two themes: “Mera Amrit Station” and “Operation Sindoor – Veertha Ki Misaal.”

    These events ran on May 18 and 19, reaching schools in Begumpet, Warangal, Ramagundam, and Karimnagar. A total of 170 students joined the initiative, showcasing their talents and ideas with great enthusiasm.

    In Begumpet, the contests took place at St John’s High School and Dawn Bud’s High School, drawing 75 students. Over in Warangal, the venue was the Railway Institute, Kazipet, where 70 students from schools such as Delhi Public School, St. Gabriel High School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Resonance College participated.

    Meanwhile, in Ramagundam and Karimnagar, more than 25 students from various schools also joined the competitions, contributing their creative efforts.

    To recognize their work, three winners in each category—first, second, and third places—will receive mementos and certificates. These prizes will be awarded during the inauguration ceremonies of the Amrit Stations, with a Chief Guest honoring the winners at each location.

    Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of SCR, highlighted the value of such events. He believes they spark creativity and help students imagine India’s development, especially the evolving role of the Railways in shaping the nation’s future.
