Hyderabad – The South Central Railway (SCR) honored six of its staff with the “Man of the Month” safety awards on Monday. These awards recognized their quick thinking and dedication to keeping trains running safely across the railway zone.
The honored employees work in different roles, including Loco Pilots, Station Masters, Technicians, Pointsmen, Key/Gate Men, and Track Maintainers. Their vigilance helped prevent potential safety issues and ensured smooth railway operations.
During a safety review meeting, Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of SCR, praised their efforts. He stressed the need to manage crew working hours effectively. He also asked officials to deeply examine train movement patterns.
Jain instructed the team to create a detailed plan that involves all departments. The goal is to improve the punctuality of both passenger and freight trains. He emphasized the importance of coordination and smart scheduling to boost overall efficiency on the network.
