HyderabadT Harish Rao, a senior leader from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), strongly criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday. He accused the CM of making flashy political promises without any real intention to follow through.

Rao pointed out that several past promises, like the Farmer Declaration and the BC Declaration, have disappeared without a trace. Now, the government has introduced the Nallamala Declaration. According to Rao, all these announcements are big on show but lack any real action.

“These declarations look impressive, but they are empty inside,” said Rao. “They seem more like distractions than plans meant to help people.”

He also questioned the government’s sincerity behind the Nallamala Declaration. Rao brought up the recent arrests of Chenchu tribal youth, who had tried to meet the CM. “How can the Chief Minister call himself a ‘child of Nallamala’ while ordering the arrests of tribal youngsters from the same region?” he asked.

Rao accused the CM of acting like a dictator by detaining tribal leaders before making declarations that claim to support them. He said this kind of behavior shows a serious gap between what the government says and what it actually does.

He also slammed the CM’s speech, calling it aggressive and filled with self-praise. “There was nothing new or useful in what he said,” Rao added. “It was just more of the same empty talk.”

Rao’s comments highlight growing tension between the BRS and the ruling government, especially on issues affecting tribal communities and farmers in Telangana.
