HYDERABAD: The Telangana Housing Board is set to begin the beneficiary selection process for 7,340 Indiramma Housing flats in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region (CURE), with the lottery draws scheduled to be conducted from August 28 to 31.

The first phase covers 16 Assembly constituencies and 18 locations within the Outer Ring Road limits. The government initially planned 7,680 flats, but the number was later reduced to 7,340 due to building-height restrictions affecting the Secunderabad Cantonment area.

The scheme has received a strong response, with more than 60,000 applications submitted for the available flats. Reports put the number at around 60,720 applications.

The draws will be conducted constituency-wise and category-wise. Reservation categories include SC, ST, BC, persons with disabilities, government outsourcing employees, Class IV employees and sanitation workers. Separate waiting lists will also be prepared for the categories.

Who Can Check Their Status?

The Housing Board has already made the applicant and eligibility information available online. Applicants can check their status using their application number through the Telangana Housing Board/MeeSeva systems. The final eligible list was scheduled to be released ahead of the lottery.

Applicants who are not selected will have their ₹10,000 EMD refunded, according to officials.

The Telangana Housing Board has also issued a warning to applicants not to rely on middlemen or agents for allotments, as the selection is being carried out through the official lottery process.
