A group of Muslim people were shocked after 11 girls were arrested by police at Secunderabad Railway Station. The girls had just returned from a wedding in Khammam. They were from Hafez Baba Nagar, Santoshnagar, and Chandrayangutta. The Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson, Amjed Ullah Khan, said that the girls were taken to a juvenile correctional center.

The group had been at the wedding and were returning home with 25 members of their family. Officials from the Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, and anti-Human Trafficking Unit surrounded them and searched their bags as soon as they stepped off the train. The girls cooperated with the officials and showed them their train tickets and Aadhaar Cards, but they were still arrested.
