Seeking Farmers’ Input for Effective Rythu Bharosa Program Execution

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao met with farmers, officials, and local representatives via video conference to discuss implementing Rythu Bharosa and loan waiver schemes. The Minister mentioned that farmers’ suggestions will be presented to the Chief Minister for consideration.

During the video conference, State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Chinnareddy, Agriculture Commission chairman Kodanda Reddy, Agriculture Department Secretary Raghunandana Rao, and scientists participated in discussions with farmers at Rythu Vedikas. District Collector Hanumantu K Zendage also joined the conference from Rajapet in Yadadri-Bhongir district.

Farmers were encouraged to share their thoughts on the proposed schemes, with Agriculture Department officials instructed to compile these suggestions and forward them to the government. Scientists provided guidance on crop cultivation practices, emphasizing necessary precautions for farmers.

The district Collector announced plans to equip all Rythu Vedikas in the district with video conference facilities within a week. This will allow for more face-to-face interactions between farmers, scientists, and agricultural officials to address concerns and provide support.

Participants in the video conference included farmers, local representatives like MPP Balamani and MPTC D Raju, as well as officials from various agriculture-related departments.
