    Hyderabad: The lobbying for party tickets in Congress has gained momentum. The Centre has hinted that it may introduce a bill for one nation, one election during the special session of Parliament in September. The Congress political affairs committee meeting is also scheduled for September 4.

    Several senior Congress leaders are lobbying for tickets for their family members. They have expressed their willingness to bear the expenses and contribute funds to the party. N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the former TPCC president, wants a ticket for his wife N Padamavati from Kodad Assembly constituency. He himself wants a ticket from Huzurnagar. Aides of TPCC president A Revanth Reddy are also lobbying for the Kodad seat. Anjan Kumar Yadav, a senior leader, seeks a ticket for his son Anil Kumar Yadav from Secunderabad or Musheerabad assembly segments.

    Mulugu MLA Sitakka’s son Suryam is expecting a party ticket from Pinapaka assembly segment and has the support of Revanth Reddy. Damodar Raja Narasimha’s daughter Trisha wants to contest from Medak Assembly segment. Raja Narasimha is willing to withdraw his candidacy if the high command agrees to give a ticket to Trisha. K Jana Reddy, a senior Congress leader, is pushing for tickets for his sons Raghuveer Reddy and Jaiveer Reddy from Nagarjuna Sagar and Miryalagudar respectively.

    Former Minister Konda Surekha wants a ticket for Warangal (East) for herself and Parkala seat for her husband Konda Murali. Balaram Naik, a tribal leader and former union minister, wants tickets for his family members from the two reserved assembly seats in old Warangal district.
