Nagarkurnool Medical College recently saw a heartwarming initiative by senior MBBS students from the 2023 and 2024 batches. With support from the Goodwill Foundation, they identified first-year students from underprivileged backgrounds and distributed important textbooks. These books covered essential subjects like Physiology, Biochemistry, and Anatomy.
The effort was made possible with help from Dr. Mahita, a Professor of Anatomy at Osmania Medical College, and the Goodwill Foundation. Five students from the new batch of 150 were selected based on their economic need. The textbooks were handed out by the college’s Principal, Dr. Ramadevi.
The senior students shared that the Goodwill Foundation has been helping underprivileged medical students across the state for the past five years.
Principal Dr. Ramadevi praised the senior students for their thoughtful actions. She expressed her happiness and stated that such support for new students is truly commendable. Vice Principal Dr. Suguna, Administrative Officer Ghouse, and senior students also joined the event to show their support.
