Hyderabad: Police quickly arrested seven individuals within a day after a bold robbery occurred in Shankarpally. On Friday, robbers stole about Rs 31.50 lakh from an employee of a businessman by crashing their vehicle into his car.
Businessman Rakesh Agarwal had sent his manager, Saibaba, to collect Rs 40 lakh from a customer in Vikarabad. Saibaba used a car driven by his acquaintance Madhu, who often helped transport cash and goods for the company. During their investigation, police discovered that Madhu suspected Saibaba would have a lot of money that day. He then plotted with two old friends and formed a seven-member gang.
As Saibaba and Madhu returned with the money, the gang executed their plan by crashing into their car. Three gang members attacked Saibaba and took the cash-filled bag. However, as they fled, their vehicle overturned. Other gang members, who were following them, helped them escape.
Police initially caught the owner of the overturned car. Alerts to Sangareddy and Shadnagar police helped in capturing the rest of the suspects.
