Hyderabad: In a significant operation, the Jubilee Hills Police, along with the Commissioner’s Task Force, arrested seven transgenders for alleged extortion and causing nuisance during a housewarming function at Nandagiri Hills.
The arrested individuals were identified as Puppy (46), Kushi Chauhan (27), Mohini (30), Anni (29), Anjali (37), Stella Roy (40), and Sai Pallavi (26). According to the police, the accused engaged in extortion by demanding money from the hosts and causing a disturbance during the private event.
A case has been registered at the Jubilee Hills Police Station under Section 308 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused were apprehended following a coordinated operation between the Commissioner’s Task Force officials and the Jubilee Hills police.
The police stated that such acts of extortion and public nuisance will not be tolerated and assured strict action against offenders. Further investigation is underway.
