Sex Racket Uncovered at Banjara Hills Hotel, Hyderabad; Organizer Arrested

In a major crackdown, a joint team of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone, Banjara Hills Police Station, and local police busted a sex racket operating out of a hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The hotel, known as the “R-Inn Hotel” located on Road No. 12, was found to be the hub of illegal activities in Rooms 111 and 112.

A total of one accused person, seven customers, and one hotel receptionist were apprehended during the raid. All the arrested individuals are natives of Kurnool. The police also successfully rescued three female workers, one of whom is a native of Uzbekistan.

The primary accused is identified as Md Shareef, a 36-year-old businessman running a salon called “Style Maker Saloon”. Shareef was known to hire unemployed women from Hyderabad, promising them a good salary and commissions, only to force them into prostitution.

During the raid, the police seized property that included a net cash of Rs.5,950, 12 unused condoms, and 13 mobile phones. The accused, together with the confiscated properties and rescued victims, have been handed over to the Station House Officer (SHO), Banjara Hills Police Station, for further action.

The operation was carried out based on credible information received by the West Zone Task Force team. The arrest of Md Shareef and the seven customers, along with the rescue of the victims, was the result of this well-executed operation.

The successful operation was supervised by Sri M. Iqbal Siddiqui, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Sri Ch. Yadender, Inspector of Police, West Zone Task Force. The operation was carried out with the assistance of Sub-Inspector Sri D. Ravi Raj and staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad.

In a statement, M. Iqbal Siddiqui, Addl. Dy.
